  2. Types of morphological correspondence:

Complete morphological correspondence;
Partial morphological correspondence;
Absence of morphological correspondence.

  1. Syntactic correspondence:

Complete syntactic correspondence;
Partial syntactic correspondence;
Absence of syntactic correspondence.



The aim of lesson: Providing general information on the grammatical problems of translation, describing the levels of grammatical correspondence.

  • Providing general information on the typical grammatical features of English in comparison with other languages;

  • Outlining and describing the main factors of grammatical correspondence;

  • Outlining the types of morphological correspondence, giving the definition of complete morphological correspondence and describing its specific features;

  • Giving the definition of partial morphological correspondence and describing the cases of its observation in translation;




  • Giving the definition of the absence of morphological correspondence and describing the cases of its observation in translation;

  • Outlining the types of syntactic correspondence, giving the definition of complete syntactic correspondence and describing the cases of its observation in the translating process;

  • Giving the definition of partial syntactic correspondence and describing the cases of its observation in the translating process;

  • Giving the definition of the absence of syntactic correspondence and describing the cases of its observation in the translating process.




  • Revealing the typical grammatical features of English, summarizing the information on the types of languages;
