The structure of the work is determined by the goals and objectives of the study. The dissertation consists of an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, and a list of references.
The introduction substantiates the relevance of the study, the specifics the object and subject of observations, the purpose and specific tasks of the work are formulated, the theoretical and practical significance of the research, its scientific novelty are determined, the choice of research methods and materials for the theoretical basis of the work and its illustrative part is justified, the provisions submitted for protection are presented.
Chapter 1 - "Theoretical foundations of the study of phraseological units characterizing the emotional state of a person" – presents material on the problem of the study of emotions and emotional states in psychology and linguistics, defines a range of issues on which there is no unambiguous opinion, reviews the literature reflecting the level of development of the theory of emotives in phraseology and lack of attention to a microsystem of phraseological units with the meaning of a person's emotional state in terms of their linguistic and cultural significance.
Chapter 2 - "Structural features of phraseological units characterizing the emotional state of a person" presents material on the developed methodology for the study of structural features of phraseological units based on component analysis and the creation of structural models for different types of stable combinations expressing the emotional state of a person, and also identifies the most productive models where the types of relationships and connections of components are established.
Chapter 3 - "Semantic features of phraseological units characterizing the emotional state of a person" presents material on the results of observations of the uniqueness of the semantics of the studied phraseological units, which makes it possible to combine stable combinations into conceptual groups with their own specific subgroups based on the allocation of archiseme, integral and differential features.
Each of the three chapters has conclusions, which briefly presents the results of the observations, theoretical and practical results of the study of phraseological units with the meaning of the emotional state of a person in the English language.
In conclusion, the results of the work carried out are summarized, it is said about achieving the set goal and solving the tasks of the dissertation research.
