The structural features of the studied phraseological units are determined by the specifics of their component composition, for the characterization of which it is logical to use structural models reflecting the uniqueness of connections and syntactic relations between the components of a stable unit.
The semantic features of the studied phraseological units are due to the peculiarity of the combination of an archiseme and a set of integral and differential semes, the identification and description of which is possible using the method of definitional analysis of phraseological units reflecting their conceptual essence.
English phraseological units with the meaning of the emotional state of a person form a coherent microsystem, for the description of which a purposeful method of analysis is necessary, including sampling, characterization, modeling, systematization of stable units, interconnected and mutually conditioned by the specifics of the microsystem, reflecting the cultural, mental and linguistic essence of the conceptual sphere of emotives.
