Reflection of the emotional world of a person in english praseological units dissertation

Research methods. The methodological basis of the research is a psycholinguistic and linguoculturological approach to the consideration of linguistic units. The main method of studying English phraseological units with the meaning of a person's emotional state was the method of component analysis, which made it possible to identify the features of the "content side" of these stable units.
In the course of solving the tasks , the following methods were also used:

  the method of sampling PU from dictionaries, which made it possible to determine the main composition of the microsystem;
  
• 
  a modeling method aimed at describing the design features of phraseological units;
  
• 
  a method of definitional analysis that argues for the inclusion of phraseological units in certain conceptual groups and subgroups;
  
• 
  a method of statistical calculations that highlights the frequency of concepts with positive and negative content, with a productive and unproductive model;
  
• 
  a method of description that shows the peculiarity of relations between members of a microsystem and testifies to the specifics of this microsystem in the semantic field of emotionality.
  

Theoretical significance. The results of the study expand and complement the traditional understanding of English phraseological units that serve to reflect the facts of reality by linguistic means, and contribute to the further development of the general theory of semantics phraseological units. The developed complex methodology linguistic analysis of phraseological units with the meaning of the emotional state of a person proves the validity of studying stable combinations based on the linguistic, conceptual and linguoculturological approach proper.
The research materials can be used to solve the problems of conceptualization and structural organization of phraseological units, where the linguistic and cultural characteristics of linguistic units, as well as the order of components, their connection and the nature of syntactic relations are significant.
The proposed approach to phraseological units as units of a conceptual microsystem opens up prospects for a more in-depth study of the uniqueness of the structure and semantics of as the phraseological units of the English language and as other languages.
