HIV infection due to the diversity of the clinical
picture, difficulty in diagnosis and treatment is
becoming serious problem among the population.
about 2 million people become infected with HIV
each year in the world and children are not the
exception.
HIV continues to be a major global public health
issue, having claimed 36,3 million (27,2–47,8 million)
lives so far.
There is no cure for HIV infection. However,
with increasing access to effective HIV prevention,

opportunistic infections, HIV infection has become
a manageable chronic health condition, enabling
people living with HIV to lead long and healthy lives.
The most common indicators of HIV infection are
HIV-associated skin diseases. according to official
statistics, over 28,000 people with HIV infection are
registered in the republic of uzbekistan.
Purpose of the study.
To study the common
dermatoses in HIV-positive children in the republic
of uzbekistan.
materials and methods.
There were 26 children
with confirmed HIV infection with skin manifestations
under the observation. The age of patients at
the time of the study ranged from 3 to 17 years
(average 8,4 years). all patients underwent a detailed
immunogram of peripheral blood and antiretroviral
therapy was prescribed.
results.
In 12 patients (46,1 %) were diagnosed
candidiasis of the skin and mucous membranes,
in 6 patients (23,1 %) – warts and molluscum
contagiosum, in 3 patients (11,5 %) – atopic
dermatitis, 5 patients (19,2 %) – pyoderma. The
clinical efficacy of antiretroviral therapy was asses-
sed by the level of CD4 + and IrI. an immu nological
study showed a direct correlation between a low
level of CD4 + and the severity of skin lesions. Skin
lesions associated with HIV infection are very
common in children, which indicates the importance
of a thorough and targeted examination of patients,
especially those at risk, often suffering from viral,
fungal and bacterial diseases and having resistance
to the therapy.
