  1. Introduction

(10 minutes)

T. greets with Ss and checks their homework

Ss exchange their homework and read it.

  1. Main part

(60 minutes)

Activity1. Reviewing the previous lesson
Activity2. focusing student’s attention on the topic
Teacher asks students to match the pictures A-E with 1-5 in pairs. In whole class discussion, teacher asks what the pictures have in common and why.
Activity3. T. tells Ss to read the text quickly and they should find statements are true or false which is given below
Activity4. Teaching new vocabulary
Teacher divides class into 3 or 4 small groups and gives 4-5 vocabulary handouts to each group. Asks students to give definitions to the words and identify their parts of speech working in small groups. Tells them to look up the words in the dictionary if necessary.
Activity4. T. explains about “to be going to” and asks Ss to do exercise from the book.

Ss will match the photos. They will answer and get evaluating card.


Ss decide the statements are true or false
Ss find the definitions and try to remember the new words

Ss make some notes on their notebooks





  1. Closure

(10 minutes)

Homework: to consolidate their knowledge, to review the lesson at home

Ss write down homework on their notebook.
