Participants were provided with turnkey templates, 
which they could immediately apply in their own 
training environments. Both formative and summative 
assessments were provided throughout the course, 
culminating with a presentation by each participant.
Participants (Fig.3) received links with UNWTO 
publications, articles and other reading material, intro-
ducing key issues and concepts needed for the course.
The intention of this approachA— the transmission 
and usage of various tools, the expertise of the experts 
and participants, the discussion forums and the prac-
tical group workA— is for participants to fully under-
stand the topics of the course.
During the last day of the course, participants 
delivered their fi nal training course presentation to a 
small group, reinforced with experts’ and peer’s feed-
back on their fi nal Project (Fig.4).
