ii) Motivation and writing

Statement no. 13: though all the teachers of observed classes agreed that writing activities motivate the students to be engaged in classes, some of them had not seen to use writing in their classes. However, some teachers used writing activities which inspired students to give their thoughts and ideas and they seemed motivated to participate in class activities.

Statement no. 7: the writing activities used in observed classes seemed interesting to the researcher. One teacher used key words, two teachers explain scanning, skimming, true/false/not given tasks related to writing topics, two teachers chatted with students in informal tone etc which continue the classes with interesting tasks.
