iii) Attention and writing

Statement no. 8: some teachers used writing activities at the beginning of the classes to get learners’ attention. They asked questions, chatted with the students etc so that the students gave their attention to the teacher and the class lesson. In some classes, the teachers did not try to draw the students’ attention. For example: in a writing class, the teacher came in the class and started to give lecture about how students can write a proper summary. She did not notice whether the students listening to her or not. Most of the students were chatting at that time.
