“Devorning ham
qulog‘i bor”, “Ko‘rpaga qarab oyoq uzat”,
“Qo‘lni
cho‘ntakka
solib
yurmoq”

phraseologisms adapted in terms of number
form, “Walls have ears”, “Stretching the legs
towards the bed”, “Putting hands in pockets”,
given in Uzbek the violation of the norm,
therefore, leads to the failure of the figurative
generalizations
which
phraseological
units
express by nature. In the English phrase
“Barking dogs seldom bite”, the phrase “dog”
(dog) is used in the plural, and the Uzbek
translation in the dictionary is translated into the
singular. The phrase “Bird” in English “Old birds
are not to be caught with chaff” in the
phraseological unit in the plural in the dictionary
and in the Uzbek translation in the singular:
Qarshi qushni tuzoq bilan aldab bo‘lmas”.

number of phraseological equivalents that are
compatible with each other in terms of meaning
and methodological function differ lexically, in
one or two components. This is mainly due to the
fact that the representatives of different nations
have a unique approach to the events of life
reflect within their imagination, and many things
and events have different meanings and
symbolic meaning in their words. Furthermore, if
one nation uses one of a series of semantic
words to express a particular concept in the
phraseological unit it uses, the other may use
another, resulting in one component of the two
language phraseological equivalents serving to
express a similar meaning and methodological
task. For example, in order to figuratively
express the notion that the work of Uzbeks
should be thorough and planned, the material
used for sewing is
divided
into seven
dimensions, and then cut:
“Etti o‘lchab bir kes!”
If
they use a fixed compound formed on the basis
of an expression such as necessity, then the
number in the phraseology used in the English
word is “three” instead of “seven” as in Uzbek.
(Measure thrice and cut once). The hardest work
is done by the British in the imagination of a
“horse” (to work like a horse), and in the
imagination of the Uzbeks by a “donkey” (to work
like a donkey). The Uzbeks liken her red face to
a cherry, while the Uzbeks liken her to an apple
(Red as an apple). In one study in the dictionary,
doing two things at once is given in English by
the word “bird”, “Kill two birds, with one stone”,
and in Uzbek by the phrase “rabbit”, “kill two
rabbits with one stone”.
