language of translation can reflect the intended
meaning and methodological function, not only
the spirit of originality is recreated, but also the
opportunity arises for the enrichment of the
vocabulary of the translated language. The
compound formed by the literal translation of a
stable unit may in some cases not be accepted
by the norm of the language of translation,
resulting in literacy. At such times, there can be
no question of the creation of adequacy (same,
corresponding, similar) or of the enrichment of
the vocabulary of the translated language.
Therefore, kalka, one of the most productive
methods of translation practice, can also be
radically different from literacy.
