Chapter 1. Barriers: concepts, classification
1.1 The concept of a barrier
What is our life made up of? It consists of the process of overcoming a continuous chain of barriers - physical, spiritual, social, value, informational, etc. - in order to meet our needs. There are many of them and the concept of each of them is correspondingly different. The first to deeply realize the great potential of the concept of "barrier" was Z. Freud, the founder of the most powerful and influential trend in world psychological science. In Russia, scientists in the field of scientific creativity were among the first to reveal the creative role of barriers. It turned out that each discovery is preceded by the appearance of a specific cognitive barrier. This phenomenon was discovered by B.M. Kedrov and called the "barrier". Discovery is made as a process of overcoming it. Now science cannot do without the concept of "barrier".
So what is a barrier? Usually barriers are interpreted in everyday understanding as something not desired, something that creates a hindrance. In our understanding, the barrier is a universal and permanent attribute of life, its obligatory and necessary companion.
Barriers exist wherever some forces interact, movements independent of their nature. It is difficult to overestimate the role of barriers in social life. They stabilize and regulate the life of peoples and states, taking the form of various prohibitions, norms, laws, customs, traditions, etc. Without them society could not exist.
Barrier as an element of the system
Barriers are always an element of some system. Any integral system, consisting of elements, owes its existence to barriers that prevent its disintegration. Not a single lump of matter can exist without barriers, without them there would be no Universe, people, states. Under their influence, organizational systems of different modalities arise and function. And man ceased to be a savage when he acquired a moral barrier - conscience, which forms the spiritual core of a civilized society. A barrier is a certain ratio of elements, influencing the system. The specificity of this impact lies in inhibition, resistance, opposition, blocking, deprivation, etc. The concept of "barrier" can be defined as a relationship between the elements of the system, which limits the freedom of one of them.
In relation to other elements, the barrier performs the following main functions:
stabilization: barrier stops movement;
correction: encountering an obstacle, the movement changes direction
energy accumulates under the influence of the barrier;
dosage: barriers dose movements;
deceleration: barrier slows down movement;
Deprivation: A barrier impairs functionality.
The role of the barrier in the life of nature is as great as in the life of society and the individual.
