theoretical problem of sociolinguistics is the study of the nature of language as a social 
phenomenon, its place and role in social development. 
The review and analysis of scientific literature and research revealed and showed the 
following topical problems of our time: 
• The problem of social d
ifferentiation of language: 
- Class dialect. 
- Professional vocabulary. 
- Language of ethnic minorities. 
- Youth slang. 
- Territorial dialect. 
• The problem of interaction betw
een language and nation. 
• Interaction of language and culture.
• The problem of
social aspects of bilingualism. 
• The problem of language policy.
Sociolinguistics is related to other fields due to the commonality of both research objects and 
terminological units, although they differ in definitions. This fact is reflected in the composition of 
the sociolinguistic term system - a wide range of problems related to the social nature of language, 
the role of language in society, and the social nature of language. 
Social linguistics attracts more and more attention in modern science and is a field of 
knowledge where the main focus is on the study of language and speech, as well as the forms of 
language existence, the use of which depends on the status, age, belonging to a particular social 
group, etc. It is known that language is a social phenomenon, and it is closely connected with 
society, which in turn plays an important role in the development of the language itself. 
Sociolinguistics is related to other fields due to the commonality of both research objects and 
terminological units, although they differ in definitions. This fact is reflected in the composition of 
the sociolinguistic term system - a wide range of problems related to the social nature of language, 
the role of language in society, and the social nature of language. 
Thus, the analysis showed that sociolinguistics is, first of all, a single set of how people use 
language to create, Express and certify their needs. 
The study of social factors that affect language, which is the science of sociolinguistics, helps 
to get deeper and more detailed insight into the nature of language, to identify the conditions of its 
functioning in society, since there are deep and unstable connections between the social functions of 
language and the language system.
