Children are facing more pressure nowadays from academic, social and commercial 
perspectives. What are the causes of these pressures and what measures should be 
taken to reduce these pressures?
 
It is obvious that today’s juveniles are being confronted with lot of tensions regarding 
education, society and business. There are so many reasons behind this issue and certainly 
there are some steps which can be taken to cope with these issues. 
The fact that children are coerced into pressures and responsibilities stems from number of 
root reasons. As far as academic burden is concerned, it is the escalating competitiveness 
of the job market accompanied with the parental over expectation that youngsters today 
take studying as an obligation due to which they sometimes get indulged into tremendous 
stress related to their studies. Socially also today’s students are in huge dilemma as they 
want to adopt the global culture, where their parents compel them to confine themselves 
to the traditions which sometimes make them rebel against the rules laid by their culture 
and this gives rise to the situation where they get coerced by their elders. Regarding the 
commercial pressures, children generally encounter fast food chains, sweetshops, 
electronic gadgets etcetera which have made them the target customers and they are 
dragged into the chaotic influx of information by both the online and offline advertising 
campaigns due to which they try to pester the parents for fulfilling their unnecessary needs 
and get indulged into bad habits. 
In order to reverse such pressures on children, I would like to recommend number of 
drastic remedies.
Firstly, parents should create a mentally and physically domestic 
environment involving a balance between learning and relaxing and also they should have 
realistic expectations from their offspring's. Even, teachers should also guide them about 
competition and co-operation simultaneously so that they can get away from this needless 
burden. Secondly, parents should allow their children to go with time as it is the need of 
the hour in order to succeed in today’s life but to some extent, children should not forget 
their culture too because if they do so, they will respect the sentiments of their family 
members and live a tension free life.
Finally, morality has to be emphasized and penetrated 
by all firms and they should keep their online advertisements inaccessible to the youth by 
putting off restrictions on their websites by virtue of which they will definitely be able to 
help the children to become more goal oriented towards their studies. 
In conclusion, it is unfair for the children to bear any kind of pressure and every part of 
society should exert effort to provide them with a happy youth life.
