Aims:
To introduce students with communicative speech activities and practice through authentic tasks
to enlarge the range of students’ vocabulary related to the topic ;
to develop students’ communicative and comprehension skills.

Lead-in:
Activity 1: Brainstorming “Telephone Conversation Questions”
Time: 5 min
Objectives:
To create working atmosphere, to recall background students’ knowledge
Procedure:
T writes “Mobile phone” on the board. Asks Ss to say associating phrasal verbs and words. If necessary T facilitates.
Ss tell what they know the phrasal words concerning with M Ph
Activity 2: Asking questions
Time: 5 min
Objectives:
To introduce difference between BrE and AmE
Procedure:
T asks question: What is the difference between “mobile phone” and “cell phone”?
Ss will answer to the question.
Activity 3: Terms explanation & matching
Time: 15 min
Objectives:
To enlarge the range of word field on the topic
Procedure:
T explains phone terms’ usage with examples. T distributes handout 1 for matching the phone terms.
Ss listen, note and do the matching task. Ss compare their answers
