Chapter 2: Which methodological approach and/or language teaching principles are you trying to achieve?
In my lesson plan I tried to use Communicative language teaching approach.
During the lesson students tried to organize discussions and as a result they developed their Communicative Competence
Chapter 3: How will you assess what you are trying to measure (i.e., Assessment-for-Learning and/or Assessment-of-Learning)?
Discussions, debates, games and other interactive techniques function as learning tools for teams and groups or individuals as they "play" online or face to face. They alter the power ratios in teaching and learning relationships between students and educators, as students learn through their explorations and the viewpoints of the character or personality they are articulating in the environment. This student-centered space can enable learner-oriented assessment, where the design of the task is created for active student learning. Students are actively involved in both self and peer assessment and obtain sustainable formative feedback.
Chapter 4: Will you be teaching a competency through speaking, listening, writing, reading (or) all of the above?
In my lesson I used reading, writing, listening and speaking interactively. Opportunities to improve listening skills and to learn new language through listening in the language classroom can be enhanced through a principled approach to integrate speaking into listening based lessons. This lesson plan’s options and evaluates research support for integrating speaking in all three of the typical stages of a listening lesson (i.e., pre, during, and post listening) for the purposes of not only enhancing comprehension but also fostering metacognitive development and creating opportunities for focus on form.
Chapter 5: Please keep in mind how the lesson plan you create will fit into the syllabus of the course and the overarching national standards. More specifically, what are the specific goals (i.e., cognitive, performative, and affective) that you want to achieve; or, are the goals/objectives of your lesson being created from a backwards design perspective?
At the beginning of the composing my lesson plan there was problem about choosing the theme. Then I looked through from master’s practical foreign language syllabus. There was a theme about “Cross-cultural communication ( telephone conversation)”. Then I prepared lesson plan which devoted to develop students communicative and sociolinguistic competence.
