Recodable locking system Hotel locking system designed so that when a guest inserts a
key card into a lock for the first time, the lock is immediately recoded and entry authori-
zation for the previous guest is canceled.

the hotel.
Registration card Physical document a guest signs during check-in. Information contained
on the registration card varies based on the specific PMS but always includes the guest’s
name, room assignment, room rate, and departure date. Often called the reg card. Repeat business Revenues generated from guests returning to the hotel as a result of positive
experiences on previous visits.
