Refining - removal of vegetable oils from compounds.


Co-additives - additives contained in vegetable oils. It is caused by various factors or during the process of oilseeds.


Sterines - are a complex substance that has a hydroaromatic nature.


Hydration - is a process, where water-soluble phospholipids are separated from oil by contacting water.


Centrifugation - Separation of suspensions and emulsions by means of centralized force. The main workpiece is made of centrifuges consisting of a fast rotating drum (rotor) around its axis.


Filter - is a device that separates the solid and liquid phase from a porous barrier into a different type of porous system, which is a dripping or drying device.


Defecation - is a method of cleaning by weight.


Bleaching – cleaning oil from colorants by using whitening soil.


Deodorization - purification of oil from different taste and smells.


Neutralization - removal of free fatty acids from oil in alkalinity.


Distilling refining - removal of free fatty acids at high temperatures and vacuum.


Soapstock - is a mixture of soaps, oil, water and other substances formed during the neutralization process, which has been synthesized by various co-workers.


The alkali capasity - is the sum of the theoretical and excessive amounts of alkaline that is used to neutralize the oil.


Adsorption - the process of collecting molecules and atoms of another matter on solid or liquid material.


Gossipol - is a poisonous substance only found in cotton oil. Brings light brown or black.


Mistsella - a mixture of oil and gasoline. Intermediate product formed during extraction.
