The Respiratory System

• Your respiratory system is how you breathe! When you breathe in air through your mouth or nose it goes to your lungs and puts oxygen in your blood. Your blood needs oxygen, as you read in “The Circulatory System”. Your life would be very bad if you didn’t have your respiratory system.

• We breathe to get rid of carbon dioxide and to take in oxygen. The oxygen goes to your blood cells. The respiratory system includes airways, lungs, and respiratory muscles. Without your respiratory system, you wouldn’t be able to talk! http://kidshealth.org/kid/cancer_center/HTB

The Heart

• Your heart is very important. It keeps the blood pumping through your body. It sends blood without oxygen to your lungs and blood with oxygen to the rest of your heart.
• Healthy Hints!!!!!! Keep active so you don’t have a heart attack.

The Heart (Part2)

• Your heart is a muscle that pumps blood through your body using steady contractions. If it is healthy, it will beat approximately 72 times per minute. The main parts of your heart are the left ventricle, right ventricle, left atrium, right atrium, and the pulmonary artery.
