The Skeletal System

• A skeleton is a frame that holds up your body. It is made up of bone and cartilage. Bones make up the hard part of your skeleton. All vertebrates have a skeletons. Vertebrates are all animals with a back bone.

• The skeletal system is a series of bones. These bones protect our organs heart, lungs, etc. All of those bones hold up your whole entire body! If you didn’t have bones, you would flop around like a jelly fish. When you break bones, It takes a long time to heal. Try not to break bones. Your skeleton is very important.

• Your muscles are what make you strong! Muscles are what allow you to bend your arms and legs. They can expand and contract. If you didn’t have muscles, your heart wouldn’t beat because muscles keep your heart beating. Muscles are essential to everyday life.
