The Skin (Part 2) - Your skin has three layers the epidermis, the dermis, and the subcutaneous layer. The epidermis Is translucent and has no blood vessels. The dermis nourishes the epidermis and contains hair glands. it also holds sweat glands and blood vessels. The subcutaneous layer is an energy reserve for the body and it stores fat.
- The nervous system connects the brain to the spinal cord. This takes messages from your brain to all of the rest of your body and tells them when to move. Neurons send signals to other cells, that is how they know how to move. Neurons travel along axons.
