There is a growing interest in biofuels around the world. This is mainly due to 
the release of toxic gases into the atmosphere, global climate change, rising oil prices 
and declining reserves. Today, biodiesel production is producing in many countries. 
Biodiesel can be produced by pereterification of any triglyceride. Different oils are 
used in the production of biofuels. For example, biodiesel is produced from soybean 
oil in the United States, pond oil in Europe, and palm oil in South Asia. [1,2]. Animal 
fats (especially beef) and cooking oils (called butter) are common in many markets. 
Sources of biodiesel raw materials include vegetable oils as well as camellia, 
rapeseed, coconut, corn, jatropha and sunflower and others. The biodiesel obtained 
from pereterification contains different fatty acids depending on the source. 
The aim of this study was to determine the fatty acid composition of cumin seed 
based on gas chromatography and compare them with those in the literature. methyl 
ester of cumin oil was synthesized in the laboratory based on transesterification 
method, and the oil composition was studied. The following table contains 28 fatty 
acids.
