Agility and technical exercises: (keepers working in 4’s) 
 
 
Advancing Race 
This is a race, were both keepers are in their goals, facing their servers. 
When you shout go as a coach, at the same time S1 + S2 serve the ball 
into the right hand corner (Please Note: The servers are not trying to beat 
keepers but merely stretching them). Once keepers make save, they 
immediately give ball back to sever and then advance (like a one on one 
stance) going through the goal towards the other server.
Once G’s has advanced 2 yards passed goal, the server/s shouts ‘Stop 
Set’ and throws ball again to right. (G1 + G2, do this at exact same time). 
The game is over, if either keeper gets caught or the reps stated have 
been completed. (Between 4 to 8 reps) 
Can be progressed so keepers work their right hand side, hip and 
shoulder height and even scoop technique.

Side stepping, diving race
This is a race were both keepers have to do a certain amount of reps 
before their fellow keeper. 
You shout GO as a coach. And server S1 throws the ball in G1 right hand 
side on the floor. G1 immediately gets up giving S1 the ball back; then 
S1 immediately serves to G1 right hand side. So G1 goes for left to right, 
while side stepping in-between for the reps that you states. 6,8 or 10. 
As G1 and S1 are doing this, G2 and S2 are mirroring them. 
Again this can be progressed to hip, waist and shoulder height.
