Sociocultural competence

Teaching: cultural characteristics of native speakers, their habits, traditions, norms of behaviour and etiquette and their appropriate use in communication while remaining to be the representative of own culture; integration of a person into global and national cultures and orientation in sociocultural aspects of people’s life in target community; ways of dealing with communicative failures because of sociocultural interruptions in communication related to various communicative settings based on the content areas defined for each grade of primary education.



Social competence

Developing desire and ability to engage with people of other cultures – potential partners of communication as well as self-assessment and ability to cope with social situations and managing them in the framework of various communicative settings based on the content areas defined for each grade of primary education.
