Direct translation:
Use the iron only for its intended purpose, for ironing fabrics on board.
Dazmol faqatgina belgilangan maqsadda, gazlamalarni dazmollash uchun foydalaning.
In this example, the word iron comes directly from the original language into Uzbek translated.
Indirect translation:
This microwave oven should not be used for commercial catering purposes.
Ushbu mikroto‘lqinli pechdan umumiy ovqatlmnish tijorati maqsadida foydalanilish mumkin emas.
In the example above, the English word oven is translated into Uzbek using the Russian word oven. In other words, the word assimilated from Russian into our language served to express the meaning of the term in English.
Such cases can be seen especially in the example of subtermins in a certain terminological group.
In the previous chapter, we conditionally referred to terms related to a particular home appliance as “subtermins”.
Hence, we can also include lexemes that make up a home appliance in subtermins.

When translating the above terms into Uzbek, the word-for-word translation method is used, and we can also see examples of direct and indirect translation methods and analyze the terms involved as follows.

Rating plate -yorliq=Bevosita tarjima
Water container - Suv idishi=Bilvosita tarjima
Filter- Filtr=O’zlashgan leksema
Condenser cover - Kondensatorning qopqog'i= Bilvosita tarjima (o’zlashgan leksema)
Model & Serial Numbers- Model va seriya raqamlar= O’zlashgan leksema va Bilvosita tarjima (o’zlashgan leksema)
Condenser cover handle- Kondensator qopqog'i tutqichi= O’zlashgan leksema va Bilvosita tarjima (o’zlashgan leksema)

Air Intake Grille- Havo qabul qilish panjarasi= Bilvosita tarjima

Or for another example, look at the control panel of the microwave oven shown in the next picture.The technical terms on the control panel refer to the ergonomic condition of the home appliance.

Almost all the lexemes in this example have a term function and requires a special approach in the translation process.

A study by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology recommended a method of performing technical translations on technical translation machines. However, it is difficult for home appliance companies to allow such activities for security purposes.
