Relevance of the topic.
In this research paper, the problems and methods of translating home appliance terms from English to Uzbek are briefly described. Consequently, the terminology of home appliances in the English and Uzbek languages ​​has not been studied in depth, and the problems in this area are still to be solved. Improving the quality of translation of terms in this area is a solution to various problems in the field, in particular, an integral part of home appliances ensures that the listed “Instructions for Use” are available to consumers in clear and understandable language. This not only promotes the correct and efficient use of the product, but also to some extent guarantees the safety of consumers. For this purpose the topic of the research is relevant and useful. Consequently, the term is monosemic in nature and is considered a linguistic element that requires adequate and accurate translation.
The aim of the work
The main objectives of this study are to identify problems and methods of translation of household appliances terms from English to Uzbek, to study the level of coverage of the terminological layer in the field, to study the specific features, onomastic and linguistic aspects of terms, as well as their transcription and transliteration.
The research focuses on the concept of the term and its importance in the field of home appliances. In particular, the translation features of the terminology of the field are analyzed in the context of English and Uzbek (partly Russian) languages.
Research tasks include:
- Identify methods of translation of household appliances;
- Study the structural scope of industry terms;
- Classification of problems of translation of industry terms from English to Uzbek, analysis of translation methods;
- To show the importance of linguistic transformations in the translation of industry terms;
- Definition and classification of terms in the field, as well as fixed expressions;
- To determine the transcription and transliteration properties of field terms.
