Patient: But I had the last attack when everything was going well at work. Old Mr. Driver retired several months before—he always made confusion—and the work wasn't particularly heavy. I wasn't staying late that month at all.
Doctor: Did Mr. Driver's retirement throw more responsibility on you?
Patient: No. He didn't really do his work right and when Jim took his job, I could count on the people who handled the invoices before me doing them correctly—Jim has really shaped those slobs up.
My wife felt I should have had Driver's job but I couldn't do nearly as well as Jim.
Doctor: Does your wife push you to get promoted?
Patient: No.

Doctor: You do like working for Jim?
Patient: He is a remarkable leader and does a fine job. That position would frighten me, as I don't do so well controlling others.
Doctor: So not getting that promotion was OK with you? (фаол тингловчи)
Patient: I really didn't consider it. When Mr. Jackson retires or moves up, I would like his job. It is the same level as Jim's but requires control of figures and financial planning rather than making other people perform. I realize that this is my strong point rather than dealing with people.
Doctor: Then you are willing to wait for a promotion to get the type of job you are good at and you would enjoy (фаол тингловчи)
Patient: That's right. I feel I understand my limitations. My wife can't understand this, as the two jobs are at the same level.
Doctor: Your wife doesn't understand the difference in the requirements of the two jobs? (фаол тингловчи)
Patient: No, she doesn't, and it really bothers her that I have been with the company longer than Jim has. She really put the pressure on me when Jim and his wife bought their new house in the Heights—she has wanted to move and we can't afford it on my salary.
Doctor: So Jim's move really got to her (фаол тингловчи)
Patient: Oh, yes. Jim had an open house for the department in his new house, and she was furious when we got home. Come to think of it, the attack started that week.
Doctor: So pressure for promotion may be a factor, as well as when things are bad at work (фаол тингловчи)
Patient: It sure looks that way. I wish she could understand how I feel about the type of work I do well.
Doctor: Does the pain seem to be better or worse after you eat?

Doctor: I think you are suffering from migraine headaches.
Patient: But I get sick to my stomach with them.

Patient: Painkillers don't seem to help.

Doctor: The headache worries you as well as giving you pain (фаол тингловчи)
Patient: I wonder what the real cause is.
Doctor: You feel that there is something behind the headache which we haven't found? (фаол тингловчи)
Patient: In some ways it sounds like the headaches that my aunt had.
Doctor: And you don't like the idea of having the type that she had? (фаол тингловчи)
Patient: Months of treatment didn't help her at all.
Doctor: She had something more serious than the doctors suspected? (фаол тингловчи)
