Step nine
Lesson II
Topic: It is a school day.

The first exercise for the second group was presenting new words by visual aids. The teacher demonstrated the colored pictures of study tools, such as a school bag, a pencil case, a book and so on.
Then, looking at the pictures, which they liked most, drew, painted and tried to describe their ready paintings with the words they knew. While doing the task, the commission of 3 people entered the class and destructed it. They asked to enter, take seats and observe the lesson. I could not refuse it because it was warned by the department of the school in advance. The visit of the people caused disappearing of their concentration, as if they were being observed by them negatively. The task was not done as intended.
The third exercise was playing a game, which was called “Word game”. One of them was to say any word in English and so others were to say another one, turn by turn, it continues like a chain, which suddenly stopped saying a word in 3 seconds, lost and got out of the game.
In the fourth exercise, the daily activities were presented, such as at 7, get up, wash, have breakfast, eat, put on clothes, go to school. Then, together with the teacher pupils repeated actions with their body. For example, the teacher said “have breakfast” and the children showed the action through their body gestures.

Lesson III
Topic: Lovely Weather

The first exercise was to listen to the names of the seasons, repeat and draw the pictures of the seasons on the sheets of paper; here what to draw was shown: a snowman for winter, the sun for summer, a flower for spring, a leaf for autumn.
Then, the pupils were shown pictures of the weather like: “it is snowing, it is raining, it is cold, and it is hot and so on” and repeated with their teachers.
Next, while listening the description of the pictures, they pointed at them immediately. Here, the pupils tried to compete each other constantly, because children are tend to be naturally energetic and always try to be first.
Then, they learned repeated the poem with their teachers:
Spring is green
Summer is bright
Autumn is yellow
Winter is white.
At the end, the teacher gave colored balls for each member of the class and made them tell what kind of balloons they had got in their hands.






Step eleven
Although this point should have been given inside the lesson conducting, the researcher separated from it. As it was pointed out before, the teacher assessed each pupil at the end of the lesson.
After conducting the entire lessons, as the researcher wanted to get the results, she decided to take post-test. The researcher did not take any pre-test from them related to their knowledge of vocabulary because they were just starters and did not need for any checking. Anyway, the researcher canvassed them orally to get some information about them (background information, interests, wishes and so on) and she would give the results in the Results and Discussions. Although they knew some words, their amount was minimum 15 or 17 words and it means nothing. The post-test had questions that were from the topics they learned in three lessons. The exercises were not so difficult; they needed colored pencils to paint. According to their participation, pronunciation, destruction, behavior, achievements, homework doings, paintings, she marked them. All of them wanted good marks, but the teacher had to assess honestly.
