1.2.2 COMMUNICATIVE LANGUAGE TEACHING
Nowadays Communicative Language Teaching is modern approach to teaching foreign languages and effective one among other approaches. It brings productive outcomes and makes learners develop their communicative competence. As I mentioned in my Home task one I gave my students the task based on poster presentation. Students worked cooperatively and supported each other, felt confident while they were learning the language. By this way they improved their language skills. I think this is one of the effective ways of teaching language.

While getting ready for the task they felt more comfortable and tried to be active in learning process. This is a good opportunity for them to improve language and real life skills. Cooperative learning leads to positive effects in language acquisition as well as enhancing motivation toward learning English. In this situation I implemented some main features of Communicative Language Teaching in the lesson;

-while learning the language students had an opportunity to communicate with each other.

-they used the language in meaningful way. It means meaning is paramount here.

-students were encouraged from the very beginning to make attempts to communicate

-as a teacher I helped my students in any way that motivates them to work with the language.

-students had opportunity to interact with each, through pair and group work, as well as, in their writings.

- they developed not only their linguistic competence, but also, communicative competence effectively and appropriately during the class.

At the end I would like to say that Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) encourages language teachers to create their own teaching theory. Moreover language teaching experts recognize that CLT is not something to achieve or model to replace teaching. Instead, the concepts and principles of CLT should be examined and thought about how to be adapted to your own context. In this case language teachers may consider about language learners interests, ages and their needs.
