The subject of the research is the features of the translation of the speech behavior of the authors of business letters as representatives of the socio-professional group of business communicators.
Methodological base. Researches have made works of foreign and domestic scientists on problems of official and business style. The study of business letters in the work is carried out under the influence of the traditions of communicative text research, which have received understanding and justification in many domestic and foreign works.
Considering the problem of the genre of business correspondence, we relied on general theoretical philological studies. This refers to the theory of speech genres by M.M. Bakhtin, the fundamental ideas of V.V. Vinogradov, developments in the field of documentary genres A.N. Kachalkin.
The research methods. In this course work, a functional analysis of the use of language units in speech is used, structural-semantic and stylistic methods of linguistic analysis are also used.
The theoretical significance of this course work lies in the further scientific development of functional-stylistic and pragmatic issues: the genre typology of business speech, the target structure of business epistolary discourse, the phenomenon of the communicant's speech behavior and the actualization of the strategies that determine it.
Practical significance of the work is:
- in the analysis and interpretation of the paralinguistic means used by the communicants: the form of a business letter and the system of signs: abbreviations and special characters;
- in the description of the normative speech behavior of a business communicant at the level of a professional lexicon, word-formation models and syntactic structures, which will allow diagnosing the speech behavior of an individual communicator;
- in the description of the most preferred techniques and methods of translation of official documents;
