Bog'liq Professional Front Office Management Pearson New International Edition by Robert Woods, Jack D. Ninemeier, David K. Hayes, Michele A. Austin (z-lib.org)
SECTION REVIEW AND DISCUSSION QUESTIONS Section Objective: Review job tasks commonly found in management and non-
management positions in the front office (rooms division) of a large hotel.
Section Summary: Incumbents in many management and nonmanagement posi-
tions within the front office department have many of the same basic types of
responsibilities and require the same types of knowledge and skills as do peers in
other hotel departments, and even in other hospitality and nonhospitality busi-
nesses and organizations. There are, however, specific responsibilities based on
job tasks that are unique to front office positions. Knowledge of these job tasks can
be helpful to front office personnel in entry-level positions who want to follow a
career ladder as they advance within the front office department and to other
departments in the hotel.
