the hotel. May perform duties of parking lot attendant or van driver.

Greets arriving guests; opens automobile doors.
•
Assists with guests’ luggage.

Opens lobby doors for guests as they arrive at and depart from the hotel.
•
Summons taxis; opens taxi doors for guests.
•
Provides travel instructions.

Responsible for parking and retrieving automobiles for hotel guests. May perform duties of door attendant or van driver.
•
Greets arriving guests.
•
Assists guests, including disabled guests, to enter or leave their vehicle (e.g., assist with wheelchairs).
•
Parks guests’ vehicles in designated parking areas and returns vehicles at guests’ request in a safe and timely manner.
•
Responds to general requests for hotel information and directs guests to the appropriate areas of the hotel.
•
Monitors the general area and cleans as necessary to ensure the vehicle unloading and parking areas are neat and
orderly.
•
Assists guests with luggage; opens lobby doors for guests.
•
Provides assistance to parking guests (gives directions, explains charges, reports vehicles needing garage service, and
provides general information); refers unusual customer-related problems to supervisor.
•
Inspects parking passes, if applicable, to ensure validity.
•
Inspects vehicles in parking lots for appropriate parking decals, if applicable.
Note: Many hotels lease parking services and facilities to an external vendor. When this occurs, persons in positions such as
parking lot attendant and cashier are not hotel employees.
