So, a famous athlete that I look up to is Wayne Gretzky, the famous Canadian American 
hockey player. He started at a young age and played for essentially his entire life, but he 
worked his way up to the national level and immediately started breaking records. He was 
setting new standards for the sport, and when he eventually did retire, they ended up 
retiring his number, so no other hockey player can ever have the number 99 on 
New 
Jersey 
at the professional national level, because he's such a respected and revered 
athlete. So not only do I look up to him because of his amazing athletic abilities but also 
throughout his career, he really made the time to give back to his community as well as 
making time for his fans, so, he was always very humble about his success. He 
participated in a lot of community programs involving children coaching them in the sport 
and giving children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to play hockey that 
opportunity as it can be sort of a costly sport to begin. So, he really made an impact in his 
community as well as his work. So, I really respect that, and I also really admire how much 
he loves the sport because after retiring, he couldn't stay away and ended up managing 
another professional team. so, even though he was no longer able to play, he still wanted 
to be in the sport that he 
loved
. So, he did this by helping other players to try and reach the 
level that he reached while he was playing. And it's always very exciting if I see him out in 
public or when I go to a game that he's somehow involved in, it feels like I'm seeing a huge 
celebrity.
