Describe a time when you had to make a difficult decision in your life.

So, a difficult decision that I had to make in my life was about 2 years ago. My husband 
was offered a position that would take us far away from our families. So, we had to decide 
whether it was better to follow opportunity or to stay in our safety zone, our comfort zone. 
So, ultimately, we did decide to take the chance and make a move, but it was a very 
difficult decision because we both really love being close to our families and spending a 
good deal of time with them. And, of course, as I mentioned, it's our comfort, it makes us 
feel safe and secure to be near them. But we left the known for the unknown and decided 
to take a chance. And we decided that was the best choice for us because it meant 
opportunity professionally and for personal development as well. So I think in the end it 
was a good decision, but it was not an easy decision to make, and we do miss our families 
very much every day. And we hoped to visit them as often as possible. 
Sometimes when we have to make difficult decisions, it's important to make a pros and a 
cons list, and so that's what we did in this case. We decided to write down all of the 
possible positive outcomes of our decision and all the possible negative outcomes of our 
decision. And this we found to be a very helpful practice in ultimately making our difficult 
decision, and we do find that it was for the best, so this can be a very helpful process when 
making a difficult decision.
