просто, да жили лет по сту.).
В английском же языке всё же наблюдаются поло-
жительные описания женщин (обозначаемых нейтраль-
ными лексемами wife, woman, bride, lady, grandmother, 
mother), хоть отрицательные превалируют и здесь:
— Обладание властью: красота и воспитание детей + 
объективизация 
(The hand that rocks the cradle rules the 
world. Beauty draws with a single hair. Fine feathers make 
fine birds.+ A man is as old as he feels, and a woman as 
old as she looks. Never choose your women or your linen 
by candlelight. Dirty water will quench fire);
— Забота о детях
(Praise the child, and you make love 
to the mother.);
— Мудрость, опытность
(Don’t teach your grandmother 
to suck eggs);
— Возможность жить счастливо и без мужа
(A woman 
without a man is like a fish without a bicycle);
— Суеверность
(Happy is the bride that the sun shines 
on. Change the name and not the letter, change for the 
worse and not the better);
— Обязанность поддерживать безупречную репута-
цию и вести себя скромно (
Caesar’s wife must be above 
suspicion. Children should be seen and not heard (Originally 
applied specifically to (young) women.) Silence is a woman’s 
best garment. A whistling woman and a crowing hen are 
neither fit for God nor men);
— Полная зависимость от отца, а затем мужа (
My 
son is my son till he gets him a wife, but my daughter’s 
my daughter all the days of her life. A good Jack makes a 
good Jill. A blind man’s wife needs no paint);
