New contract regions and service providers for Adult Migrant English Program

On 18 April 2017, Assistant Minister for Vocational Education and Skills, the Hon Karen Andrews MP, announced the AMEP service providers and regions for the new contract period, commencing

1 July 2017.

1.New contract regions and service providers

From 1 July 2017, there will be 58 AMEP contract regions. These regions will align with the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS) regions which are also used by the Department of Employment and the Department of Human Services to manage service delivery contracts.

One service provider is contracted to deliver AMEP services in each contract region, with the exception of the Sydney South West region, where a multi-provider model will be trialled.

One service provider has been contracted to deliver AMEP distance learning services nationally.
