In addition, the types of effects of crises reported in Table 4. The total number of frequencies was 1121,
because agents sometimes checked more than one effect from crises. The biggest negative impact felt by the agents
from various crises was the reduction of demand for the tour. The second biggest negative impact from various
crises was the increase in the costs. The increase in stress level, the increase in reservation cancellation, and the
difficulties in making sound decisions were next negative impacts from various crises, respectively.
However, there were some positive impacts from the various crises. Some travel agents reported that the
various crises provided the opportunity to find out the weak sides of the agency, (86), the opportunity to become
better prepared against crisis (84), the increase in range of international activities and sales (50), the increase in
range of domestic activities and sales (30). In conclusion, even though there are some positive effects of the various
crises in Turkish travel agents, the negative effects of the crises were frequently mentioned by the agents.
