The fourth chapter deals with the political, socio-economic and cultural situation of Uzbekistan during the Soviet era. In this section, the students will be covered by the Soviet authorities, their policies, and the secular system. Great attention is paid to the contribution of the Uzbek people to the Victory over the Fascist World War II. The Soviets are explaining the causes of the political, socio-economic crisis in the 1970s and 1980s, its essence and its consequences. Without understanding the processes taking place in the Soviet era, students are unaware of the importance of the independence of Uzbekistan in 1991.
