	listed bodies UK organisations that do not have the power to award their own degrees but which provide full courses leading to a degree of a recognised body.
	Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) The placement of a special needs student in a manner promoting the maximum possible interaction with the general school population. Placement options are offered on a continuum including regular classroom with no support services, regular classroom with support services, designated instruction services, special day classes and private special education programs.
	LEAST RESTRICTIVE ENVIRONMENT (LRE): The IDEA requires that, to the maximum extent appropriate, school districts must educate students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment, i.e., in the regular classroom with appropriate aids and supports (referred to as “supplementary aids and services”) along with their non-disabled peers in the school they would attend if not disabled, unless a student’s IEP requires some other arrangement. 	LINKAGE: The type of connection mandated by state law or voluntarily established between a charter school and a traditional LEA.
