The tourism industry is one of the leading sectors of the world economy and is a 
promising sector that brings high returns to the national economy. Uzbekistan has 
more than 7,300 cultural heritage sites, including historical monuments, monuments 
built with the great talent of our great ancestors, sacred sites, and most of them are 
included in the UNESCO list. Therefore, in recent years, the state has adopted a 
number of normative and legal acts on the development of this area. In particular, in 
accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 
April 6, 2021 "On measures to further improve the system of public administration in 
tourism, sports and cultural heritage"

under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports was found. The main tasks of the agency 
are to identify, record, protect, promote the objects of material and cultural heritage, 
the state register, electronic catalog, maintenance of the state cadastre, designation of

scientific and methodological research. Thus, it is important to analyze the current 
state of historical and cultural tourism, the prospects for its development and its
