Recently, a new way of receiving and transmitting information is widespread - this is multimedia. The basis for multimedia is the computer. Connected with a monitor screen and a phone, it can transmit to another computer and receive information in the form of text, graphics, sound and moving pictures almost instantly. The user can in turn actively influence the content of this process.
Thanks to multimedia via the Internet, today you can not only get the latest information on any topic, which greatly motivates and activates the learning process, but even communicate with native speakers in various interest groups. And this is already a lively dialogue and the pleasure of communication. / 1 /
Abroad, the use of Internet resources in education already has rich experience due to the fact that any information can be found in global networks. Let's conditionally designate information resources for educational purposes:
 electronic (multimedia) textbooks, distance learning courses; /Annex 18/
 reference materials (dictionaries, encyclopedias, databases, maps);
 electronic libraries of textual, graphic, sound information and video information;
 virtual museums, exhibitions and other visual materials./ 14/
The use of hypertext technology when creating a multimedia textbook has a number of advantages over other technologies (for example, a traditional textbook on paper):
one. The use of multimedia features: musical or announcer design, animation, graphic exhibitions, video clips, slide shows.
2. The presence of a branched structure of hyperlinks (to definitions, terms, explanations). Hyperlinks allow you to get an explanation, definition, additional information in the course of reading the educational material, while quickly returning to the main text.
3. The presence of a structure management system - the teacher can set the most appropriate, in his opinion, form and sequence of presentation of the material, which allows you to use the same educational material for different audiences, for various types of educational activities, or simply as a reference system.
4. The presence of a knowledge control system integrated into an electronic textbook or study guide, which allows you to control with an instant result in the form of corrections or a finished assessment for the completed exercise. / 17 /
The advantage of a multimedia textbook is the ability to provide quick feedback, quickly find the necessary information, along with a short text - to show, tell, simulate, and so on. In a multimedia textbook, you need to make the most of the possibilities of multimedia: slideshow, cartoon, voiced video.
The main advantage of multimedia lies precisely in the fact that the perception of new educational material goes through the activation of not only vision (text, color, static images, video, animation), but also hearing, which allows you to create a certain, one might even say a given, emotional background. , which increases the efficiency of assimilation of the presented material./ 3/ /Appendix 19/
Thus, the use of the latest technologies should be considered as one of the effective ways to organize the educational process in achieving the strength of knowledge in teaching a foreign language.
