Reading 2: Developing general language skills. On the basis of the text there are activities to develop:
pronunciation;
grammar structures;
vocabulary;
translation skills;
dictionary and grammar reference skills;
writing (for consolidation of structures);
cross cultural studies.


READING: YEAR III


Texts should be authentic or semi-authentic texts.
Texts will be a page to a page and a half long.
There could be up to 10-15 new words or phrases per text.


Topics will include: profession and jobs, business and management, banks and money, politics and political systems, international relations, tourism, hotel business, personality and personal characteristics, relationships between parents and children, adults and young people, management and workforce, national customs and traditions,employment and career issues, space technology,education issues (eg. awareness of the problems of drugs, smoking, ecological andenvironmental problems and responsibilities, law and crime, etc.)

Reading 2: Developing general language skills. On the basis of the text there are activities to develop:
Pronunciation;
grammar structures;
vocabulary;
translation skills;
dictionary and grammar reference skills;
writing (for consolidation of structures);
cross cultural studies;
language awareness;
expressing personal attitude to the problem / problems touched upon in the text.


IV. WRITING


WRITING: YEAR I
On the basis of the main text or based on another short text (o= texts) which deals with the same topic, there will beexercises for developing writing skills.
