Educational Level I – public secondary education
А1- beginner level of learning FL in public secondary school: formation of threshold level (grades 1- 4);
А2 – intermediate level of learning FL in public secondary schools: formation, development and improvement of communicative level (grades 5-9).
Educational Level II – secondary special education
В1- specialized/professional level of learning FL in academic lyceums and professional colleges: expanding communicative competence in the framework of specialized/professional education.
Educational level III – higher education
В2 – Years 1-4 at Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) level – teaching FL for specific professional purposes: development and further mastery of communicative competence;
С1 – Years 1-2 at Postgraduate (Master’s) level – professional, scientific, specialized education in HEIs: mastery of communicative competence.
CONTENT OF TEACHING AND LEARNING


The content of teaching and learning is presented in the form of themes, which are subject to compulsory inclusion to major educational programmes of public secondary, secondary specialized and higher education. Learning material across all levels of education ensures continuity, consistency and recurrence in learning and teaching.
Continuity is ensured through taking into account interdisciplinary links in developing all components of communicative competence in foreign language.
Consistency refers to reliance of learning material on previous experience.
Recurrence suggests certain amount of material to be offered within a series of lessons, each of the series include certain amount of lessons. Any cycle is based on step-by-step development of certain ability and skill in each language skills. Cycle approach is scaffolded by concentric approach, which refers to both language material and topics for discussion. A separate series is regarded as complete autonomous period of teaching, targeted at solving certain objective in achieving general aim of FL learning.
