INTRODUCTION
Responding to English as a language of international communication and lingua franca, people considerably think to learn English, which is used and spoken worldwide for education, business, communication, and others.

Project Based Learning (it be will stated as PBL) technique through group work in teaching English especially for a speaking class. Speaking is one of four language skills to be learned by students at vocational schools. By learning speaking students can improve their ability to give their opinions or ideas. Kayi adds that speaking is the productive skill in the oral mode. Besides, learning speaking will be useful for students because speaking as a verbal communication is a common way to communicate with others. 1
Speaking as a skill needs much exercise and practice, otherwise the students’ speaking cannot be improved. Brown states anxiety is one of problems faced by students in speaking because they are afraid to be judged as stupid and incomprehensible persons. So, it can be concluded that some students do not want to speak because they are afraid of making mistakes in speaking.2
The topicality of the theme. As in many other aspects of life the situation changed in a language policy. That requires creation of new textbooks, dictionaries, manuals. In order to fulfill this goals one must know every field of linguistics. In our opinion the theme of the work is very actual because there is no enough manual which learns the PBL in teaching speaking for students. The PBL technique seems to match needs in teaching-learning English. PBL is simply defined as a technique that instruct students to solve problems and develop products.3
