  1. A RESOLUTION OF THE CONNELLSVILLE AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF SCHOOL DIRECTORS TO URGE THE GOVENOR OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA AND THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO APPROVE A BUDGET FOR 2015-2016

WHEREAS, Connellsville Area School District is a municipal corporation and public entity formed by and for the communities of Connellsville City, Connellsville Township, Dunbar Borough, Dunbar Township, Bullskin Township, Saltlick Township, Springfield Township, South Connellsville Borough, Dawson Borough, Vanderbilt Borough operating under the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Public School Code of 1949 as amended from time to time; and


NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that WE, the Board of School Directors of Connellsville Area School District urge the General Assembly and the Governor to work together to compromise in order to approve a budget for the 2015-2016 school year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be submitted to the elected senators and representatives of the Connellsville Area School District, and to the members of the General Assembly, and to the Governor of The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
FOOD SERVICE (Fox, Means, Mongell and Basinger)

  1. Ron Barry would like to organize a S.A.D.D. chapter (Students Against Destructive Decisions) on a voluntary basis at the Connellsville Career and Technical Center.

  3. East End Steelers will be using the Senior High School cafeteria for a banquet on Friday, November 20, 2015, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

  4. Connellsville Retired Police Officers will be using the Junior High School and Connellsville Area Career and Technical Center, Tuesdays, September 15 thru April 27, 2015, 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Group Charges

  5. German Club will be using the Senior High School parking lot for car show, Sunday, October 18, 2015 or rain date of October 25, 2015, 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. Group Charges: custodial

  11. Junior High Musial Theatre Department will be using the Junior High School for musical Friday and Saturday, April 1 and April 2, 2016, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 3, 2016, 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m.

  12. Junior High Instrumental Music Program will be using the Junior High auditorium for annual band concerts, Tuesdays, December 8, 2015 and May 10, 2016, 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

  13. All Star Chorus will be using Senior High School Room 121 for rehearsals on Monday, February 29, 2016, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

  14. All Star Chorus used the Senior High School chorus room for auditions, Monday, September 28 and Tuesday, September 29, 2015, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

  15. High School Chorus will be using the Senior High School auditorium, lobby, restroom, and chorus room for concerts, Fridays, December 4, 2015 and April 29, 2016, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.




  1. Connellsville Youth Basketball League will be using the West Crawford Elementary School Mondays and Wednesdays full court and Tuesdays and Thursdays half court, October 19 thru March 18, 2016, 5:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

  2. Bullskin Brahman Booster Football will be using the Senior High School cafeteria for a banquet, Friday, November 6, 2015, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

  3. Senior High School Musical will be using the Senior High School auditorium for auditions, December 7 and 8, 10, 11 and rehearsals January 4, 2015 thru March 2, 2016 and preview, February 15, 2015 and performances March 2 thru March 6, 2016.

  4. Dunbar Township Elementary School PTO will be using the Junior High School cafeteria for calendar party, Friday, November 6, 2015, 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

  5. High School Girls Soccer Team will be using the Connellsville Area Career and Technical Center for a banquet, Thursday, October 29, 2015, 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

  6. High School band will be using the Senior High School auditorium for a concert, Thursday, December 17, 2015, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
