Piloted a program for violin instruction to all 1st graders.

Piloted a program for keyboard instruction to all 5th graders.

Piloted a conducting program in which select students receive instruction in conducting and conduct the Cook School band in concerts.

Launched an initiative for Cook School band to perform publicly in outdoor concerts in front of City Hall, Plainfield for three consecutive years.
Received Distinguished 2011-2012 Summative Evaluation.

Artistic Director and Conductor of the critically acclaimed ensemble, ages 8 to 18, in over 60 appearances of musical excellence in the classical choral tradition. Responsibilities included: Oversaw all artistic aspects of the program. Coordinated choral activities with administrative assistant. Directed three weekly rehearsals. Implemented vocal pedagogy and selection of appropriate repertoire. Assessed chorister’s vocal progress. Developed concert venues, benefit concerts and grants. Oversaw a separate training choir under the direction of a select, senior choir member. Directed and produced choir DVD’s. Performance highlights include:

Organist and choirmaster for historic parish of musical excellence. Provide musical leadership for four weekend masses and three parish choirs. Oversee maintenance of church’s celebrated 1879 Hook and Hastings organ (unaltered). Highlights include:

Established and sustained St. John’s children’s choir consisting of members of St. John’s School and the community.

Developed St. John’s Adult choir. Created the position for a professional section leader.

Launched an initiative to provide the parish with a new hymnal (The St. Michael Hymnbook) making memorials available for purchase of new hymnbooks. Project completed in January of 2008.

Established the St. John’s Spanish choir which sings at weekly masses.

Launched, promoted, and ensured major fund raising project: a major concert featuring soloists, combined choirs, and members of the New Jersey Symphony in the performance of Concerto in g minor for harpsichord and orchestra by J.S. Bach, Exsultate Jubilate by Mozart and Gloria by Antonio Vivaldi, December 21, 2008.
