As we know, taking account into the age and psychology of the learners is 
important in teaching foreign languages. Particularly, the attention should more be paid 
for children in teaching foreign languages.
Here is a brief description of the grammar. Grammar is a system of rules and 
principles that are used in the construction of oral and written speech, as defined in 
dictionaries; a subject that learns the structure of words and phrases. According to the 
material, 
Teaching English Grammar in the Malaysian Primary Schools,
grammar is a 
language system. Sometimes people describe grammar as the "rules of language"; but 
in fact, there are no rules for any language. The handbook also states that there is no 
rule to say that rules are pre-existent if the language is governed by rules. After all, 
people first made sounds, followed by words, phrases and sentences.
In many sources, grammar is described as a rule of language structure. Children 
may find it difficult to learn the rules and it makes become bored. The interesting thing 
is that language grammar seems to be a difficult area to get, even for adults. In my 
opinion, it is not difficult. Everyone knows that it is important to simplify and really 
make grammar be fun. Again, in order to teach foreign language grammar to young 
children, language teachers need to simplify and simplify the material and increase 
children's interest. This is because young children have not yet developed the skills of 
cognitive analysis. For learners of this age, the use of the principle of visual arts in 
teaching a particular subject is more beneficial especially in a foreign language. 
Children do not need to have perfect grammar knowledge so that they can 
communicate easily in English. O f course, grammatical rules may seem boring to 
children. It has been proven in psychology that young children are full of enthusiasm. 
This means that the grammar material that should be presented to children in fun, 
understandable 
and 
enjoyable 
way.
To make the material be enjoyable, the use of songs is generally effective way. Music 
is a pleasure for every young person. Children are taught effectively with help of 
vocabulary and grammar. For example, the song, 
What colour is it?
teaches children 
how to ask a coloring question and answer it in English:
What colour, what colour, what colour is it?
It is red, i t ’s red, red, red, red.
What colour, what colour, what colour is it?
It is blue, it is blue, blue, blue, blue.
