EFFECTIVE WAYS OF TEACHING ENGLISH GRAMMAR IN PRIMARY
EDUCATION

Abstract: This article analyzes the methods of teaching English grammar and 
its role in early age. Grammar has long been self-taught, and this approach has done 
more harm than good because such knowledge of algebraic accuracy does not give 
learners the opportunity to communicate in real-life situations. Freedom and clarity are 
complementary and interrelated phenomena. Grammar lessons teach children grammar 
mechanics, but learning about meaningful content is not about cultivating curiosity 
about language, words and paragraphs. Grammar does not work individually, but it 
should be used to maintain semantic relationships and to account for the discrete 
factors. This article offers practical ideas, lesson plans to help you plan, and teach 
lessons that encourage, engage, and inspire students to use grammar correctly and 
creatively. It will also help you to teach safely and effectively grammar by answering 
your own grammar questions and providing essential science knowledge. The lesson 
ideas have all been tried and tested, you can adapt the lessons to teach other aspects of 
grammar, or adjust your learning objectives to reflect your classroom needs. There is 
a need for a new separation where pedagogical grammar plays an active role in 
language acquisition. This study is important because what elementary teachers need 
to know and their epistemological position on teaching grammar in unprecedented 
English language is that they should first teach grammar to their curriculum. Teaching 
grammar in elementary school begins with mechanical drills in the first phase and 
gradually becomes cognitive in the third phase. The learning process should be 
concentrated and gradually disseminate knowledge about previous stages.
