THE IMAGE OF AMIR TEMUR, IBN SINO AND BOBUR IN THE ENGLISH
SPEAKING COUNTRIES’ LITERATURE

Annotation
The images of Beruni, Amir Temur, Ibn Sino, and Bobur were always in the 
highlight of European scientists, poets, writers and historians. All scholars of the 
different ages were interested in the life activity of these great personages. Many works 
and poems were devoted to the image of Tamerlane. R. Clavijo, I. Shiltberger, L. 
Langle, Christopher Marlowe, I. Goethe, Edgar Allan Poe, Voltaire, G. Vambary, X. 
Hukhem, L. Keren and others were among them. This article deals with the different 
ideas of various english writers and historians about legendary heroes of Uzbekistan.
Key words: Poets, historians, writers, image, legendary, idea, different, 
ancestors, contribution.
In the world literature, many poems and plays have been created about the life, 
activities and scientific heritage of al Biruni, Ibn Sino, Amir Temur, Mirza Babur. They 
highly appreciate the contribution of our great ancestors to world science, culture, 
literature and art. In particular, “Temur and Bayazed”, “West-Eastern sofa”, “Book of 
songs”, “Ibn Sino”, “In the flower garden of science”, “Sultanate created from 
nothing”, “West and East”, created in English literature, “Babur - Tiger” and other 
literary works that confirm our opinion require an impartial approach and study based 
on a modern worldview. A separate study of these works will enrich literary criticism 
with new facts and open the way for new fields. Due to it, a further study of the 
personality of our great thinkers and their place in history and world literature seems 
necessary.
Studies devoted to the era of Amir Temur, expanding from century to century, 
formed a special branch in world historical literature.
Publications of the English historian Edward Gibbon (1737-1794) of the author 
of the universally recognized work on the history of the Roman Empire. In this work,
