THE IMPORTANCE AND NECESSITY OF
LEARNING ENGLISH IN BUSINESS

Annotation. 
This thesis fully explains the role of English in the world today and the importance 
of this language in business, as well as in all areas. The opportunities created in our country for learn-
ing foreign languages were also widely discussed.

Our country has all the opportunities for young people to get education, actively master informa-
tion and communication technologies, learn modern professions and foreign languages. Today, our 
young people are effectively using such huge opportunities. In particular, as a result of large-scale 
reforms at all stages of the education system, thousands of our boys and girls are learning foreign 
languages while studying in certain specialties. The resolution of the first President Islam Karimov 
dated December 10, 2012 “On measures to further improve the system of learning foreign languages” 
was aimed at further expanding the ranks of such young men and women, their education at the inter-
national level. Interest-raising is becoming an important program in raising the level of knowledge of 
foreign languages. This document is aimed at radically improving the system of teaching the younger 
generation in foreign languages through the introduction of advanced teaching methods using modern 
pedagogical and information and communication technologies in our country, training of specialists 
fluent in foreign languages, international cooperation in the field. and creates favorable conditions 
and opportunities for the development of communication.
There is a saying among our people: “A person who knows the language knows”. That is why 
today anyone who wants to be aware of the achievements of modern science, to succeed in life, pays 
special attention to the study of foreign languages. After all, learning foreign languages is an im-
portant requirement today. The main reason for this is that thanks to independence, our country has 
opened a wide range of relations with foreign countries. On the other hand, the exchange of informa-
tion is expanding, and our country is actively integrating into the process of globalization.
Among all the skills needed to succeed in today’s business market, a strong knowledge of English 
is a must. If you want to improve your communication skills, English will be the basis of this training. 
If you want to develop sales, convince people, or lead your employees, knowing English will be your 
greatest asset. Also, if you are planning to expand your business to other regions of the world, you 
will know that English will be your most widely used language.
English is not the most widely spoken language in the world, but when it comes to business, it is 
the most important. About 1 billion people speak Mandarin, but they are mostly concentrated in Chi-
na. About 400 million people speak Spanish, mostly in Central and South America. Only 360 million 
people know English as their mother tongue, but when you include those who speak it as a second 
language, their number exceeds about 860 million worldwide.
Leaders see strong English as essential to success in business.
In any study or questioning of business leaders, English is always a key factor when asked about 
what they are looking for in the most important skills today.
English is the demand for more jobs in more countries than ever before in human history. Even 
20 or 30 years ago, a good command of English was not as important as it is now. In the past, English 
was only required for top management in global companies. Today, companies ’customers and sup-
pliers, their technical support teams, and their management can be spread across multiple countries.
The disparity in English proficiency between industries is steadily declining, with the gap be

tween the highest and lowest industries almost halving. Companies spend more money on teaching

English, adults learn English on their own, and more people can use English in the workplace. Some 
of the best areas, based on English, which are 50 to 60 percent fluent, include:

English and globalization are coming together towards communication, business and policy goals 
that make it easier to address many of the world’s issues. The concept of English, popularly known 
as “International English”, is a global representation of this language. Communication is very im-
portant in any field like business, medicine, transportation, technology, sales or marketing. English 
is a language that is accepted and known all over the world. The role of the English language in the 
context of globalization cannot be expressed in words alone; the effect of this command language is 
very broad and varied.
It will be very difficult for anyone at the international level to thrive in this world without know

ing this language. For better or worse, the truth is that we are overwhelmed by the power of the En-
glish language.
When it comes to globalization, English comes to mind first. The term globalization refers to 
the transnational cycle of relations between ideas, languages, cultures, people, and the economy. It 
is believed that globalization can contribute to economic growth in different countries. In addition 
to pragmatic approaches to language and globalization itself, the method of communication is now a 
tool for large international and transnational organizations.
Despite the claim that fewer speakers are in the spotlight around the world, English is recognized 
as the most global. The words we need today to recreate the future or to demonstrate an alternative 
future are primarily given in this global language. At the height of globalization and technology, En-
glish dominates the world more than ever, and now some linguists say it can never be overthrown as 
the king of languages. It is a common language in almost everything from science to air traffic con

trol. Technology also plays a big role in the global triumph of language. It has strengthened its dom-
inance as an Internet language that stores 80 percent of the world’s electronic data in that language.
English and globalization spread all over the world and strengthened the global language. This pro-
cess began with the domination of two English-speaking English and American empires and continues 
today with a new virtual empire of the Internet. While Chinese and other languages are rapidly increas-
ing their share of Internet traffic, English is likely to remain. English has become a common linguistics
For a general understanding, English is still evolving and everyone needs to accept this fact. It 
also reminds those who are planning to work in international business organizations that a significant 
and growing number of listeners speak English when communicating.
In conclusion, it can be noted the following:
Ninety percent of the world’s transactions are made in English. World financial funds and ex

changes operate in English. Large corporations use English in every corner of the globe. Although 
they do not speak English, it is much easier and simpler for foreign investors to make offers in that 
language. English is the main language of instruction in schools. The top 10 universities in the world 
also operate in English. Knowing English allows you to get a quality education and become a repu-
table professional. No matter what country you go to in the world, you will be understood in English 
everywhere. You can communicate with the locals exactly in English.

Many scientific reports, articles and reports are published in English today. 90% of Internet re

sources are in English. The bulk of the information in all areas will appear in English first.
English comedies, movies, books and works of art are very popular among the youth of the world. 
American actors, singers, and writers are in the hearts of millions of young people. English will re-
main an international language for many years to come. The number of people who want to learn this 
language is growing every year.
